If you're a BBQ enthusiast like me, you'll want to make a beeline for this gem of a restaurant. From the moment you step in the young lady n the counter she is very friendly and well mannered. What sets this place apart is the quality of the food. Each bite is a testament to their commitment to BBQ perfection. The brisket sandwich was beautifully tender and loved their sauce. Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic, mouthwatering BBQ. We live in Atlanta but every time we come to Chattanooga we have to grab something,Whether you're a seasoned BBQ aficionado or just curious, you won't be disappointed. I can't wait to go back and try more from their tempting menu!

Im giving this small business 5 stars beacause my favorite plate was the brisket we had. This brisket had the perfect amount of fat and was so juicy and tender. The bbq sauces were also on point we had the hot and the mustard very tasty. We also tried the ribs, we felt that if you would render the fat a bit longer it would be perfect, because they we a bit chewy for our liking, but the seasoning and pork flavor were there. Corn bread, potato salad, mac were average would have loved the bread to be more moist, mac was good, potato salad was heavy on the dill or something. Overall great place to dine in and outside excellent customer service GREAT BRISKET TO DIE FOR BOULD FLAVOR ON THE CRUST MUST TRY!

Stopped on the way coming from north east and couldn’t have been more pleased! The hospitality is unmatched and great setup, even got to meet their cat. Would recommend..! The brisket, baked potato, Fritos, and Mac and cheese were all delicious. I hope to stop by again soon.

I've traveled all across the country, sampling barbecue from coast to coast, and I can honestly say this spot holds its own with the best of them. Chattanooga can be tricky when it comes to finding a top-notch barbecue joint, but I finally struck gold here. The jumbo brisket sandwich was on point—tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The pulled pork side was just as delicious, smoky and satisfying. Next time you're in town, be sure to tell him Big Mike from Nashville sent you. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

My husband I I had dinner here tonight. We loved the atmosphere and the young lady at the counter was so helpful and friendly. My husband has eaten barbecue at many places and he said hands down this was the best brisket he’s ever eaten! I really enjoyed the Mac and cheese and barbecue beans. We will go back. We both highly recommend this place for a great meal!

I dined at Barque on a Friday afternoon, about an hour before closing, and I was admittedly a bit nervous about the quality of the food given the timing. Typically, BBQ is best closer to when the meats are fresh out of the pits. But as soon as my meal was served, all my worries disappeared. The presentation was great, and we started with the “Load ’Em Up Nachos.” It was a choose-your-protein adventure (we chose pulled pork) piled on top of tortilla chips, with queso, slaw, baked beans, pickles, and a drizzle of BBQ sauce. They were AMAZING and hit the spot. For my main course, I had the “Texas Two Step” with pulled pork and ribs, plus two sides—mac and cheese and baked beans—along with cornbread, pickles, and pickled onions. The mac and cheese had a delicious peppery garlic overtone in the cheese sauce, which I loved. The macaroni was well-cooked, but I do wish the cheese sauce was a bit thicker. Overall, though, it was really good. The baked beans were spot on—great consistency with a smoky, slightly mustardy, sweet, peppery BBQ flavor, plus little bits of trimmings that added a lot to the taste. The pulled pork was excellent, especially with their sweet BBQ sauce. I loved the smokiness, which worked perfectly with the sauce. But the real standout was the ribs—hands down the best ribs I’ve eaten in Chattanooga. Honestly, the best BBQ plate in Chattanooga, period. The ribs had an amazing smoky flavor, enhanced by the seasonings in the dry rub that formed a great bark. Soooo good! Overall, it’s an easy 5/5, 10/10—whatever scale you go by. I can’t believe it took me this long to make it over to Barque, especially after dealing with substandard BBQ at other places in town. For me, Texas-style BBQ is the gold standard, and Barque is just as good, if not better, than some of the BBQ spots I’ve been to in Texas. Highly recommend!

Excellent BBQ!! Good sauces, not the sweet stuff, which we like. We had the brisket, pulled pork and burnt ends.... YUM! The hot coleslaw, beans, and corn bread were all very good. Local place, comfortable setting.
